Alyce Chaucer of Ewelme : 20th June

For our next talk in the library we are delighted to welcome Christina Hardyment who will be speaking about her trio of history mysteries inspired by Geoffrey Chaucer’s granddaughter Alyce Chaucer, Duchess of Suffolk, who lived in a moated castle in nearby Ewelme and is buried in the church.

This year is the 550th anniversary of Alyce’s death, and Christina’s talk will be a personal look at how she came to write her novels, stimulated by Alyce’s extraordinary life.
