Victorian Scientists & Scandals : Friday 17th January

We are delighted to welcome Carolyn Kirby back to the library to give a talk entitled “Victorian Scientists & Scandals”.

Carolyn’s novel “The Conviction of Cora Burns” was inspired by the origins of psychology as well as by real lives and true stories from 19th century Britain. Her talk will give insight into the research underlying her fictional narrative and will focus on 3 controversial Victorians : Arthur Munby, W T Stead and Francis Galton.

Full details are shown on the poster below. It’s the perfect antidote on a cold dark January evening!
