Art In The Library

We are delighted to have a new exhibition in the library’s art space – works by Watlington artist Neil Foreman. Do come in and have a look…

Neil was born in Smethwick in the Black Country in 1946 and was brought up in Birmingham. He has lived in Watlington since 1977. He spent his professional life as a qualified chartered surveyor in the commercial property sector. Whilst he had no formal training as an artist, Neil’s father was an architect so it can be reasonably assumed that some creative genes may have descended! In recent years, Neil has attended art sessions held by local artist Jeffery Courtney and Life Drawing sessions with the late David Turner at his Stokenchurch studio. His work encompasses a variety of styles – photo-realism, landscape, abstract; in mediums of watercolour, acrylic, graphite and charcoal. Neil has exhibited his work at the last 4 Artweeks events in Watlington.
